Hi, my name is Subie! I’m a charming, gentle, spunky, and independent 5-year-old purebred female Shiba Inu with a fun personality and a really sweet, kind disposition.

I’m good with other dogs and enjoy having them around, but I’m also perfectly happy entertaining myself. I’m very much a “you do you, I’ll do me” kind of girl. I like having my independence and doing things on my own terms, but when I’m in the mood, I’ll happily follow you around and keep tabs on where you are. I’m independent, observant, and curious, and I love keeping myself busy by exploring, sniffing, and checking out everything happening around me.

If you take me on a walk, be prepared for me to have a mission! I love going for walks, chasing lizards, and investigating all the interesting smells along the way. I also have a funny habit of finding random balls left behind at the park and proudly bringing them home with me. I’m food motivated, so treats are definitely one of the quickest ways to win me over.

I’m adventurous, athletic, curious, clever, confident, affectionate, and a little bit spunky. I have that classic Shiba independence, but underneath it all, I’m a sweet girl who loves being loved on.

While I’m good with other dogs, I would also be perfectly happy being your one and only. I’m used to being the only dog in the home, and I think I’d really enjoy having my people all to myself. I’d especially love a home with a big, secure yard where I can safely roam, sniff, explore, and keep myself entertained during the day between walks.

If you’re looking for a companion who can happily do her own thing but will also come over for some love and affection when she’s ready, I might just be your girl. 🐾♥️

My story:
Tobi is a very sweet and smart Shiba Inu puppy. He knows and responds to his name. He is very high energy and likes to play with other dogs in his foster home. He is very playful with dogs and people. He likes to be near people in his foster home and will often lay touching them and even will lay on top of them. He learns command quickly and is very food motivated. He is very observant and alert to all that is happening around him.
The ideal home for Tobi would be an experienced adopter who will be patient with all his puppy behaviors and will continue to train him. He would love a big yard to run around in and would be good with a confident doggy sister.
